Knuckle Duster Variations - A Knife & A Bottle Opener

Knuckle duster is a weapon sometimes known as brass knuckles. It is worn around the knuckles to make your fist more powerful.

It is made of brass or metal and is very powerful. A punch with this weapon can cause a severe injury.

So, it is actually a weapon, but as of late, it has been used for other purposes as well.

There are two variations of the weapon that has made it usable for other purposes too. In this article, I have explained those two variations.

These include a knife and a bottle opener. Let’s find out how different are they from original brass knuckles, and what are their uses.

1. Knuckle Duster Knife

As the name suggests, this is a knife attached to a knuckle duster. It looks like real knucks, but there is one difference.

A blade is attached to it. However, you can still wear it around your knuckles because the blade won’t contact your hands.

This variation is being used as self defense weapons these days.

The earliest brass knuckle knife was designed during the First World War. It was known as a Trench knife because World War I was fought in the trenches.

It was made for the US Soldiers with an aim to use a weapon that can’t be disarmed. There was a powerful blade attached to the knuckle duster.

Hence, the soldiers had two weapons to use which proved handy in close quarters combat.

Today, it is being used for battling the attackers with a similar intention. It can’t be disarmed, hence you can fight the attacker and get rid of him with two weapons.

Punch him with the knucks and then use the blade to inflict injuries.

2. Knuckle Duster Bottle Opener

Another variation commonly used today is the knuckle duster bottle opener. As the name suggests, it features an additional part called bottle opener.

This helps in opening bottles and canned objects.
